Connect YouTube
Connect the Google account that owns the channel. One thing catches people out: an unverified channel cannot set a custom thumbnail or upload anything longer than 15 minutes.
A window opens on the network's own site. You sign in there and approve access — nothing to copy or paste.
Before you start
- A Google account with a YouTube channel.
- A phone-verified channel, if you want custom thumbnails or videos longer than 15 minutes.
Step by step
- 1Verify the channel first
Open youtube.com/verify and verify with a phone number. Skipping this is fine for short videos, but custom thumbnails will be silently refused later.
- 2Open Accounts
In Social Publish, go to Accounts, press Connect Account, and choose YouTube.
- 3Sign in with Google
Choose the Google account that owns the channel. If you have several channels on one account, pick carefully — the choice decides where videos land.
- 4Allow upload access
Google asks for permission to upload videos and read your channel. Both are needed: without the read permission we cannot show you which channel is connected.
If something goes wrong
The channel is not phone-verified. Verify at youtube.com/verify, then remove and reconnect the account so the new status is picked up.
Choose Advanced, then continue. The warning appears while the app is in Google's review process and does not affect the upload.
YouTube caps how much an app may upload per day. The limit resets daily.
