Cancellation & Refund Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

This policy explains how to cancel a Social Publish AI subscription, what happens to your access when you do, and when a payment can be refunded. It applies to every paid plan bought through our website, and forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. The short version

  • You can cancel at any time, yourself, from Billing in your account. No email, no phone call, no notice period.
  • Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for — we do not take back time you bought.
  • Because you keep that time, subscription fees are generally non-refundable.
  • We do refund genuine billing errors — a duplicate charge, a charge taken after cancellation, or a failure on our side that left the Service unusable.
  • Switching to a cheaper plan mid-period gives you account credit, not money back.

2. Free trial

The Standard plan, monthly or yearly, comes with a 7-day free trial. You add a card to start it, and nothing is charged during the 7 days. Your bank may show a small verification charge when you add the card; it is refunded automatically.

When the trial ends, your card is charged for the plan you chose — monthly or yearly — and your subscription continues from then. We email you a reminder at least a day before that charge, and your bank also sends its own notice before the debit.

To avoid being charged, cancel from Billing any time before the trial ends. You keep the trial until its last day and nothing is charged. If you forget and are charged, the charge is for a new billing period and is treated like any other subscription payment under this policy.

The free trial is available once per account. Other plans have no trial and are charged from the day you choose them.

3. How to cancel

Cancellation is self-service and takes effect the moment you confirm it:

  • Sign in and open Billing from your profile menu.
  • Choose Cancel plan, and confirm.
  • Your recurring payment mandate is cancelled with our payment provider straight away, so no further amount can be debited.
  • Your access end date is shown on the same screen, and we email you a confirmation.
  • If you cannot reach that screen for any reason, email [email protected] from your account address and we will cancel it for you.

4. What happens after you cancel

Cancelling is a decision not to renew — it is not a request for a refund, and we do not treat it as one. Your plan stays exactly as it is until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and stops only then.

On a monthly plan billed on the 5th, cancelling on the 12th leaves you on your paid plan until the 5th of the following month. On an annual plan, cancelling in month two leaves the remaining ten months intact.

Once that date passes your plan's features stop until you choose a plan again. Your posts, connected accounts, media and analytics are not deleted at that moment — our Privacy Policy covers how long data is kept and how to ask for it to be deleted.

You can resubscribe at any time.

5. When we do refund

Subscription fees are non-refundable as a rule, because cancelling already leaves you with the full period you paid for. We do refund in these situations:

  • Duplicate payment — you were charged twice for the same period. We refund the extra charge in full.
  • Charged after cancellation — a renewal was taken after you had already cancelled. We refund it in full.
  • Wrong amount — you were charged more than the price shown for your plan. We refund the difference.
  • A failure on our side — a fault in the Service made your paid plan substantially unusable for a sustained period and we could not put it right. We refund a fair part of the period affected, or all of it.
  • Where the law requires it — nothing in this policy limits any right you have under applicable consumer law.

6. When we do not refund

So there are no surprises, these are not grounds for a refund:

  • Changing your mind, or not having used the Service during a period you paid for.
  • The unused part of a period after cancellation — you keep the access instead.
  • A social network changing, restricting or withdrawing its own API, or your access to it. Those platforms are outside our control.
  • An account suspended or terminated for a breach of our Terms of Service.
  • Amounts already settled as account credit through a plan downgrade, covered in the next section.
  • AI credits that have been used, monthly AI credits left over at the end of a billing month, and AI credit packs, used or not.
  • X credits, used or left over at the end of a month.

7. X credits

  • Your plan includes a monthly allowance of X credits for posting to X, because X charges us for every post. A plain post uses 1 credit; a post with a link uses more, following what X charges.
  • Credits are taken only when X accepts the post. If a post to X fails, the credits held for it are returned to you automatically.
  • X credits refill on the 1st of every month (UTC), do not roll over, and have no cash value.
  • If a fault on our side took X credits for a post that did not reach X, contact us and we will put those credits back.

8. AI credits and credit packs

  • Your plan includes a monthly allowance of AI credits. They reset at the start of each billing month and do not roll over or turn into money.
  • Credits are taken only when a generation succeeds. If an image, caption or other AI action fails, the credits held for it are returned to you automatically.
  • AI credit packs are one-time purchases. Their credits join your credit balance, are used after your monthly credits run out, and expire 12 months after purchase.
  • AI credit packs are not refundable, whether used, partly used or unused, except where the law requires a refund.
  • If a fault on our side charged credits for a generation you did not receive, contact us and we will put those credits back.

9. Upgrades, downgrades and credit

When you change plan mid-period we keep your existing period and settle only the difference in price for the part of it still to come. Your renewal date does not move.

Upgrading raises a one-time charge covering the remainder of the current period at the higher price.

Downgrading issues a credit note for the remainder. That credit is applied automatically against your next invoices — it is not returned to your card or bank account.

Invoices and credit notes are visible under Billing at any time.

10. How to request a refund

Email [email protected] from the address on your account, within 7 days of the charge, and include:

  • The invoice number or payment reference — both are on the invoice under Billing.
  • The date and amount of the charge.
  • What went wrong, in a line or two.

11. How long a refund takes

Two separate clocks, and it helps to know which one you are on:

  • Our decision — within 3 working days of receiving your request. We reply either way, and if we decline we say why.
  • The money moving — 5 to 7 working days after we approve it. That part is handled by our payment provider and your bank, and the time it takes is theirs rather than ours.
  • A refund always goes back to the original payment method used for the charge. We cannot send it to a different card, bank account or UPI ID.
  • Refunds are made in the currency you were charged in. Where your bank applies its own conversion or charges, the amount you receive may differ slightly from the amount refunded.

12. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails we retry it and email you. Your plan stays active during that window, so a temporary card problem does not lock you out of your account.

If the payment still cannot be collected, your plan's features stop until a payment goes through. Nothing further is charged, and you owe us nothing for the period we could not collect.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version that applies to any payment is the one published on this page on the date that payment was taken.

If we make a material change we will notify you through the Service or by email before it takes effect.

14. Contact us

For anything about cancellations, refunds or billing, write to [email protected] and we will reply within 1 working day.
